Rahman's power-packed performance at Hollywood Bowl

Indian maestro ARR is probably in the best phase of his career, and ever since he has moved to the West, his luck is just getting better and better. The double Oscar winner gave a power- packed performance at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl on Sunday (July 10, 2011) along with the LA Philharmonic. This event was a part of the KCRW's World Festival Series. The Hollywood Bowl performance also featured Karsh Kale, Rhythms of Rajasthan, Bollywood Step Dance and Sher Foundation. Rahman's performance, titled 'Journey to India', included tunes from his first film Roja, Bombay, 'The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Pandey', 'Chan Chan' from Water, Endhiran, 'Changing Seasons' from Raavan, 127 Hours and of course Slumdog Millionaire (for which he won two Academy Awards).
