thanish Kodipunju audio released

The audio of young hero Tanish's next film Kodipunju was launched on July 10 at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. Anoop Rubens has scored the music. The first audio CD was released by hero Manchu Manoj and handed over to actress Roja, who plays a powerful role as Seetharathnam in the film. Tanish, heroine Anchal alias Shobana, Nani, Sana Khan, Poonam Kaur and others were also present. Directed by B.V.V. Chowdary and produced by D.S. Rao under the banner of Sri Sailendra Cinemas, Kodipunju is said to be a comedy and action entertainer with a village backdrop. The movie is expected to hit screens in August.

Rahman's power-packed performance at Hollywood Bowl

Indian maestro ARR is probably in the best phase of his career, and ever since he has moved to the West, his luck is just getting better and better. The double Oscar winner gave a power- packed performance at the prestigious Hollywood Bowl on Sunday (July 10, 2011) along with the LA Philharmonic. This event was a part of the KCRW's World Festival Series. The Hollywood Bowl performance also featured Karsh Kale, Rhythms of Rajasthan, Bollywood Step Dance and Sher Foundation. Rahman's performance, titled 'Journey to India', included tunes from his first film Roja, Bombay, 'The Rising: Ballad of Mangal Pandey', 'Chan Chan' from Water, Endhiran, 'Changing Seasons' from Raavan, 127 Hours and of course Slumdog Millionaire (for which he won two Academy Awards).

For a long time, a gossip was making rounds that some directors and producers are planning to remake the all-time classic of the thespian, the late NT Rama Rao, 'Dana Veera Sura Karna' with his grandson and Young Tiger NT Rama Rao. The latest buzz is that SS Rajamouli is seriously considering to remake the film with Tarak and is reportedly bringing pressure on him to accept his offer. However, the project would cost a huge budget of around Rs 85 crore. However, several film personalities opine that the film should be a bigger hit than the blockbuster like 'Magadheera' which had collected Rs 80 crore so far, to gain profits if any. Of course, an intelligent producer could market the film in all the south Indian languages and thereby get such huge profits. As per the available information, Narne Srinivas, the father-in-law of NTR and father of Lakshmi Pranathi, is planning to invest such a huge amount and remake the film.

Amrita Rao's sister with Naga Chaitanya

Preetika Rao, Bollywood actress Amrita Rao's sister, is penciled in to do the female lead in Ram Gopal Varma produced Bejawada Rowdilu. After considering several names for this role, RGV and director Vivek zeroed in on this petite beauty. She plays opposite lead actor Naga Chaitanya.

Preetika Rao acted in couple of films in Tamil and Kannada.

Bejawada Rowdilu's shoot was stalled in Vijayawada after controversy over its title and content sprang up. Now, it seems everything is settled as the film's new schedule has just begun in the city again. A song, Sharabha Sharabha, is being canned there.

'Kandireega' audio postponed to July 14th

The music launch of  Kandireega has been postponed to July 14th from July 11th. Due to some problems, producer Bellamkonda announced the change in date. But the music launch ceremony will be held at the same venue Jayabheri Club in Hyderabad. Taman scores the music for the film.

Lead actors Ram and Hansika are pining on this movie as both of them need a hit to boost up their career. Kandireega is penned by Kona Venkat and directed by newcomer Santosh Srinivas. Bellamkonda Suresh is producing the film.
